Viva L'Italia!

The Sylvan Winds are thrilled to perform this program in the beautifully restored Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. The original parish church counted Mozart's librettist Da Ponte as one of its parishioners. The program features Italian composers from the 18th to 20th centuries, including another 18th Century Italian emigre, Giovanni Gualdo da Vandero, as well as a recently reconstructed work by Mercadante. A festive Italian themed fundraising reception will take place following the performance supported by the United Pugliesi Federation.
